Homeownership strengthens families, churches and communities by creating a sense of personal and civic pride, accomplishment, responsibility and achievement. 

By establishing a Homeownership Ministry at your church, it is my mission to provide your congregation the education and continuous support necessary to create and maintain homeownership possibilities for individual members by creation of a Homeownership Ministry.

Structure:

Homeownership Ministry Consultant-This person assesses the demographics, needs and resources of the church and devises a comprehensive plan to provide homeownership solutions to the church and its members.  This person is solely a consultant to the church and will have no direct affiliation or involvement with anyone participating in the home buying, selling or refinancing process.

Homeownership Ministry Coordinator/Chairperson-This person serves as the liaison to the consultant for all questions & events related to homeownership.  Also, this will be the chairperson for all meetings, forums and events within the church family.  This position will have committee members as needed or determined by the initial assessment.

Services:

Homeownership Ministry Implementation Plan-The Homeownership Ministry Consultant will meet and consult with church leaders, the Homeownership Ministry Coordinator & key personnel to assess membership numbers, demographics (percentage of owners vs. renters, general financial demographics), needs assessment and a timeframe to implement a course of action.  Review, analysis and results tracking will be ongoing.

Housing Fair-The Homeownership Ministry Consultant will assist the Homeownership Coordinator in preparing and coordinating a Housing Fair which will bring professionals from all realms of the homeownership process and it’s supporting entities together for a one day event focused on increasing homeownership and maximizing wealth.

Homeowner Education-The Homeownership Ministry Consultant & Homeownership Ministry Coordinator will provide no fewer than 4 homeownership education events per year.  The consultant will assist in compiling and contacting individuals from local housing related entities (lending, realtor, etc) that should be represented at the seminar to maximize information and effectiveness.

Homeowner/Prospective Homeowner Document Review-The Homeownership Ministry Consultant will provide no fewer than 4 document review sessions per year.  The consultant will have a forum where congregation members will bring loan documents, good faith estimates, rate quotes and other related paperwork to the Homeownership Ministry Consultant for one on one review and advice.
